Mrs. Palmer’s biology classes have gotten right back to work after the break! Yesterday they discussed the functions of enzymes, and how they work to break down specific proteins. Students took two cubes of jello, one being the control, and covered the other in meat tenderizer. They waited twenty minutes and observed how the bromelain which is also found in other foods such as pineapples, broke down the jello and compared it to the control cube. Here is Lauren Lacrosse to explain her thoughts on the lab!
